Physically there has been very little healing since Andy’s stroke that left him with locked-in syndrome. Yet, as Andy explains stages in a process of acceptance and Emma shares some of their story, they describe how the healing that has taken place has led to a life worth living and enjoyed.
Andy & Emma Davies
Andy Davies was a successful dentist and committed Christian but in 2011, at just 33, he suffered a massive brain stem stroke that left him with locked-in syndrome. He published his first book, Pressed but not Crushed, in 2015, where he spoke about the horrors of his life change and the love of his family and devoted wife Emma. Andy and Emma now have a young family, run a successful business, have maintained their faith, and continued to write.
Breathe creates space for parents and carers of children and adults with additional needs to connect with God and others like them. Five families, including seminar stream leaders, Andy and Michelle Worthington, share stories of acceptance with us. So, grab a coffee and join the Breathe community as we explore and reflect on what real acceptance might look like for us as individuals, for those we care for, and for our futures. Join the Breathe at New Wine Facebook Group for an invite to the Zoom Gatherings after the Evening Celebration.
