A God-charged space for students and young adults to prioritise the presence of God, faith and friendships. Sixty One starts with the Spirit of God anointing you, awakening deeper calling and confidence in life’s next steps. It is about living the life that God has for you and the commission to rebuild, renew and restore the world as God intended.
Starting Thursday evening and finishing Sunday lunchtime, it’s the perfect long weekend with friends for faith to be fuelled.
Expect to be challenged and reassured, expect to be built-up and undone, expect to grow and be pruned back, expect to be comforted and receive joy. Expect fresh dreams and visions, expect the unexpected.
There will also be great teaching, ministry, worship and prayer.
Sixty One is a space where God’s calling on our lives is explored and encouraged. It is a space to wrestle and think. A space to leave some things behind and pick some new things up. A space for friendships to be deepened and commitments strengthened.
This is the passage of scripture Jesus reads out at the start of his ministry (Luke 4:18). The Spirit of the Lord is on him and he embodies and fulfils the prophetic word at the start of Isaiah 61. It is partial fulfilment of the entire passage as later verses will be fulfilled when Jesus returns. As followers of Jesus anointed by the same Spirit, mandated with the same mission and heirs to the same promise, Isaiah 61 is also for us. It shouts about life in the Kingdom and the life we are called to live and share.
Different spaces where teaching, theology and practice is explored
Campus is student space – A space that is contending for a move of God in the student world and that encourages students to make the most of every opportunity. It is a space where fun, faith and fire collide.
Word is deeper space – A space designed to stretch our thinking and sharpen our minds. It is space to grapple with scripture and how to apply it to our lives, it is space to wrestle with concepts and deepen conviction.
Dwell is sacred space – A space to explore the business end of spiritual formation where encounter and personal choices lead to transformation. It is space to reflect, to be noticed and to notice, to allow God to re-capture our imagination and reveal his heart.
Hustle is work space – A space that looks at our everyday responsibilities and breathes calling into our careers and vocation. It is space to summon the kind of leadership this world needs, names what must be done differently and fuels Kingdom mission.
Engage is cultural space – A space to engage with the tensions of society, the cry for justice and a culture not centred on Jesus. Who will count the cost for change? Who will stand in the gap? Who will rebuild, restore and renew?
Life is communal space – A space to celebrate creativity, relationships, human flourishing and living well. Life and life to the full is what Jesus promises us and this space looks at choices, values and making the most of what we have been given.
Create is innovative space – A space where God’s creativity in us is encouraged and affirmed.
Luminosity is New Wine’s youth initiative, and next summer marks the launch of a brand new four-day event for 11-18s – with their youth groups and youth leaders – running alongside the Sixty One programme. Find out more at weareluminosity.org.

Operations team (a physical role requiring practical skills and stamina to serve in the areas of event support, stewarding, site services, technical support and production)
People & Culture team (a people-facing role including hospitality, customer service, venues, hosting, cafés, prayer)
Within each team there will different roles and responsibilities and we will do our best to allocate these to best suit you, so please provide as much detail as possible when asked to do so during the application process.
